Medellin is a city surrounded by mountains; I love how green they look from above. We arrived to my parents place and went to see around. Felix got a few helicopter bugs stuck to his shirt!

A couple of days latter we headed to the Pacific coast. From the plane we could see the miles and miles of rain forest. Once we got to Nuqui we took a 45-minute boat ride to our hotel.

Our hotel was located between the rain forrest and the ocean, and had no electricity or hot water. Every night someone would come and turn on the oil lamps. The kiosk up the hill was the restaurant, where they gave us the greatest colombian food, which Felix -of course- couldn't eat.

Not far from the hotel there are two different waterfalls that we went to check out on our first day. We stayed at a nice beach on our way back and played with the big waves. It was a lot of fun!

On the second day we did some scuba diving. During our boat ride we ran into some fishermen and Cesar, our dive master, got some fish for his lunch. Then we saw dozens of dolphins swimming next to us and follow them for a while!

The landscape was so beautiful and relaxing, and that night there were millions of stars!

The humpback whales come to the coast every year to have their babies and to mate. We followed a couple of them for about 2 hours; it was very exciting! We again stopped to buy fresh fish.

On our third day we took a walk to the small village of Termales. It had rained, so one of the small creeks had become a river, which we had to cross swimming!

There is a thermal pool there that falls right onto a creek. It was so quiet and relaxing...

Children in Termales, and a photo with our guide Tello and his baby girl.
